Top picture is the Plague Column that was commissioned by Emperor Leopold I in 1679 after the Great Plague of Vienna, which killed thousands of residents. The lower picture is a closeup of Emperor Leopold I depicted in the middle of the column looking up to God. Good example of the “Habsburg chin” a characteristic of the Habsburgs due to generations of inbreeding.
