At the lookout there’s this sign describing the historical Battle of Nuʻuanu where King Kamehameha I unified the Hawaiian Islands. The battle resulted in an estimated 400 warriors dying, many of whom were forced off the cliff. The next picture is a view of the spot depicted in the sign.
