On our way to St Michael’s Mount, a tidal island and castle located off the coast of Marazion in Cornwall. The site was originally a Benedictine monastery and place of pilgrimage before becoming a fortress and eventually a stately home. The St Aubyn family has resided in the castle since the mid-1600s, and parts of the house, church, and subtropical gardens are open to the public.
