Next day we headed to Omaha Beach, one of the primary landing sites of the D-Day invasion on June 6, 1944. Stopped here at the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial first. It serves as the final resting place for 9,387 American soldiers who died during the Battle of Normandy.
