Next day started at the ruins of Glastonbury Abbey in Glastonbury, Somerset, England.The abbey was founded in the 8th century and significantly enlarged in the 10th century. The site is famously associated with the legend of King Arthur. In 1191, monks claimed to have discovered the burial site of King Arthur and Queen Guinevere, whose remains were later reburied under the main altar in 1278. A great fire in 1184 destroyed much of the original abbey and its relics. The monastery was ultimately suppressed in the early 16th century during King Henry VIII’s Dissolution of the Monasteries.
