2025 England & Wales

Interior of Wells Cathedral. Note the famous “scissor arches” added in the 14th century for structural support to prevent the central tower from collapsing. Oddly enough when we were there there was a Pink Floyd cover band setting up in the church, if you look closely you can see a guy holding a guitar at the base of the left side of the scissor arch. And there are square speakers on stands all along the left and right side of the seating area, which put out a massive amount of sound. Some kind of money raiser that night.
