Italy 2016 Pictures
Picture of a picture of The Corporal of Bolsena which dates from a Eucharistic miracle in Bolsena, Italy, in 1263 when a consecrated host allegedly began to bleed onto a corporal, the small cloth upon which the host and chalice rest during the Canon of the Mass. The dark spots are blood spots. The actual cloth is brought out every year during the Feast of Corpus Christi, which is one of the major public holidays for the city of Orvieto.
