Fontana delle Tartarughe (The Turtle Fountain) just outside the Jewish Ghetto, originally constructed around 1580. One of the fountains that supplied drinking water to the Roman population. The cute little turtles clambering over the edge (actually these are copies made after one was stolen in 1979) may have been created by Bernini around 1659 during restoration work.
